What if Catalina faints, again?” asks Vanessa, trying to raise concern in Mr. Sanchez (probably feeling she and her friends are losing the battle of gaining permission to take Catalina home).
“Yes,” says Catalina, who’s not so “sick” that she can’t defend her cause, “let them all come with me.”
Mr. Sanchez says, “That’s fine.” But he tells them to take Catalina home and come right back. Paola argues that Catalina cannot be left alone, and especially since her mother is not home. Mr. Sanchez agrees, saying he’ll see them Monday (so today is Friday), but advises them to take Catalina home, and once she’s settled for them to return to their respective homes.
